Meeting On Disaster Management

Bandar Seri Begawan - The Belait District Disaster Management committee met following flash floods that have affected residents.

All committee members visited areas affected by the floods, which included the Jalan Badas water dam project.

Belait District Officer Awang Haji Mohamad bin Hj Abd Rahman chaired the meeting to ensure committee Meeting on disaster management members are prepared in handling calamitous situations when disaster strikes in the future.

The meeting aimed to activate the Belait Disaster Management Committee formed in 1998.

It was attended by officials and staff from government departments and the private sector in Belait, including Brunei Shell Petroleum Company Sdn Bhd and Brunei LNG Sdn Bhd. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
