Bandar Seri Begawan - The Sports Management and Administration Seminar came to a conclusion with the presentation of certificates of participation at Orchid Garden Hotel on Saturday evening.

Some 70 representatives from various national sport associations received their certificates from the guest ofhonour, Awang Hj Metassim Bin Hj Jibah, Director of Youth and Sports Department.

Awang Haji Zamri Bin Dato Paduka Hj Hamdani, Special Duties Officer at Youth and Sports Department, in his capacity as the Chairman of the Organising Committee in his welcoming remarks, lauded the seminar's success in attracting the participation of the sport officials, who were provided an opportunity to review the procedures in the daily administration of a sport association.

He said during the four-day seminar, which started on Feb 7, the Youth and Sports Department organised a comprehensive seminar to enable the participants to grasp and make use of the materials presented in the seminar.

Haji Zamri pointed out that the participants were also able to provide positive suggestions and ideas on the seminar topics. They shared experiences with the presenters from Singapore Sports Council and Malaysia's National Sports Council on the management and preparation of athletes in facing competitions. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
