Civil Service Dept Holds Family Day

Bandar Seri Begawan - We cannot deny the importance of the concept and institution of family in an organisation. The success of an organisation begins from the home because a happy family is the catalyst to success of an organisation. We are confident that the family institution is motivated towards success in conducting our duties and responsibilities as a government department.

This was stated by Dato Paduka Awg Hj Saifon bin Hj Awg Besar, guest of honour and Head Director of Civil Service Department, at a family day celebration for Civil Service Department 2007 at LR Asma Hotel, Jerudong yesterday.

He further added: "The concept of family is important to instil in every. administration of an organisation. Not only it guarantees a harmonious and cohesive environment, but it also ensures the achievement of implementing core business in catalysing the development of our beloved country.

"The concept of family in administration needs high and notable values among officers and personnel. The concept of family warrants us to be tolerant in assisting our fellow workmates. Guidance and teaching our workmates that are in need should be practised.

"The concept also warrants us to respect each other which is the main foundation in a working relationship, without regard to rank or position. We should not forget that our main asset in public administration is human resources, which needs to be understood and put into practice on the concept of work as a devotion," he said

The ceremony began with the recitation of surah alFatihah and was followed by a welcoming remark by the chairman of the ceremony, Awg Hj Abd Rahman bin Muhammad Husain, Director of Development and Management Section.

The event also saw the guest of honour presenting souvenirs to retirees, as well as prizes to winners for most beautiful section contest among Civil Service Department Section.
