National Flag Raised In Temburong District

Bangar - Temburong District yesterday held a national flag raising ceremony to mark the country's 23rd National Day.

Present at the ceremony was guest of honour, Acting District Officer of Temburong, Hj Mohd Abdoh bin DSS Hj Abd Salam.

A delegation of flag bearers arrived at the open field of Belalong Hall Community Complex in Temburong at about 10.45am.

The ceremony kicked off with a recitation of Surah al-Fatihah followed by the handing over of the flag by Assistant District Officer of Temburong, Matusin bin Hj Tuba, to the Acting Temburong District Officer, who then handed the flag to the Royal Brunei Police Force to be hoisted.

A choir from Sultan Hassan Banfar Secondary School sang the national anthem and Benddra Negara' song.

The ceremony ended with the handing over of the national flag to penghulus of mukims in Temburong by Hj Mohd Abdoh. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
