Flag Hoisting Ceremony In Belait

- Twelve`Belait Royal Brunei Police Force personnel hoisted
the Brunei national flag at Menara Cendera Kenangan recreational
park, Kuala Belait yesterday morning to officially mark the 23rd
National Day this month.
Guests and the public were also
treated to a procession by 38 Bumbungan 10 Belait Youth Council
members.
The ceremony kicked off with the
arrival of Belait District Officer, Awg Hj Mohamad bin Hj Abd Rahman,
and an entourage carrying the giant national flag from Bandar Seri
Begawan, accompanied by the beating of the hadrah.
After the recital of Surah al-Fatihah,
the Belait District Officer handed over the flag to Royal Brunei
Police Force personnel to be hoisted.
Next a choir sang the national
anthem and 'Bendera Negara' song, followed by the handing over of
national flags to mukim leaders in the district.
The ceremony was capped with the
signing of a national day banner by the Belait District Officer who
later handed over flags to youths leading the parade.
The youths carried the national day
banner from MCK to five selected houses in Kampoag Melayu Asli,
where flag hoisting ceremonies were held, before stopping at Padang
Kecil Bandaran.
Guests and the public were also
invited to sign seven small banners, which will be carried during_
