Religious Affairs Officials Visit School In Tutong

Bandar Seri Begawan - Dato PadukaAwg Hj Ishaaq bin Hj Abdullah, Deputy Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Religious Affairs, visited Sekolah Ugama Lamunin, in Tutong.

He was accompanied by other officers from the Ministry of Religious Affairs.

The working visit aimed to assess religious schools and to look into the teaching and learning environment and the welfare of students.

Dato Paduka Awg Hj Ishaaq bin Hj Abdullah also assessed the implementation of the `3K' programme for religious schools to be able to provide a conducive environment for learning.

Upon arrival in Lamunin, he was greeted by Dyg Hajah Adikelana bte Hj Mohd Zain, principal of Sekolah Ugama Lamunin.

The principal's briefing touched on the vision, mission, objectives, goals, achievements and the `3K' programme of cleanliness, hygiene and beauty.

A question and answer session on problems and ways they could be solved was made between Dato Paduka Awg Hj Ishaaq bin Hj Abdullah and the school delegates.

The school has around 12 teaching staff, four males and eight females, and 162 students from pre-religious class to primary six. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
