German MPs Visit NDP Headquarters

Bandar Seri Begawan - The President of the National Development Party, Muhammad Yasin B Abd Rahman, said striving to help ensure that Brunei remains a Malay Islamic Monarchy did not mean that we are against the existence of a society that is. plurastic and diverse in culture, race and religion.

This was highlighted in a press statement yesterday to welcome five visiting German parliamentarians here.

"We are of the view that MIB philosophy is compatible with ' democracy. To us in NDP, democracy is equated with the ability of citizens to participate and contribute to the decision-making processes in Brunei within the legal avenues," said Yasin.  -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
