Energy Organisations In Golf Tournament

Bandar Seri Begawan - Team Zainal Daud comprising Hj Yussop Hj Mohd Daud, Yaakub Jumat, Bahrin Bakar and Hj Roger Abdullah hit a total score of 145 points to grab home the champion's trophy in the BEnA (Brunei Energy Association) Golf tournament which took place yesterday afternoon at the Royal Brunei Airlines Golf Club.

Second place went to Hj Sabtu Tuah, Jumat Tuah, Rusii Sulaiman and Mahari Ahmad of BSP Team B with 143 points, while third place went to Mohd Yunos Abdullah Yusof Johan, Hj Md Zin Abd Aziz and Afandy Ahmad of BLNG Team B with a score of 142 points.

The Best Individual Nett winner went to Hj Sabtu Tuah of BSP Team B (69), while `Best Individual Gross' was won by Col (Rtd) Hj Abd Aziz Abdullah.

The prize of `Nearest to the line at Hole No.9' went to Hj Danny Dato Yakob, while Aslie Lakim, Hj Yussop Hj Mohd Daud, Omar Yusof and Shazali Sulaiman won in the similar prize category for the 2°a 5th 14th and 16" holes, respectively.

Some 95 golfers from the local energy industry took part in the tournament, which was held with the aim of enhancing networking and relationships among energy professionals and policy-makers in an informal environment whilst at the same time promoting friendships and cooperation amongst organisations and professionals involved in the energy industry.

Yesterday's tournament was the first activity organised by BEnA in 2007. Another 11 activities and events have been lined-up for this year.
