Professional Development Workshop For Anthony Abell Teachers

Bandar Seri Begawan - The Anthony Abell College (AAC) is conducting a few professional development programmes this year. One of them is the workshop entitled "Development of Multimedia Courseware" for all the 80 teachers of the AAC, which began on Tuesday at the college's ICT laboratory.

In her address at the start of the workshop, -the AAC deputy principal Cikgu Asmah Tengah reminded the participants that the objectives of the workshop are to enhance the teachers' ICT skill in the field of education while developing a customised educational multimedia courseware.

Workshop facilitator GanAi Fong said the timeframe for the professional development programme is from February to September this year. It will cover discussions on ICT integration in education, examples of courseware developed, usage of ActivStudio for interactive whiteboard and the development of multimedia courseware.

Every teacher may develop his or her own multimedia courseware, to be presented and evaluated later. Miss Gan also mentioned the courseware will be submitted online for accreditation.
