Deputy Minister Visits Rumah

Begawan - The Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs, Pehin
Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Hj Badaruddin, and delegates made a
working visit yesterday to the new Rumah Bahagia in Kg Semabat of
Temburong.
The deputy minister surveyed its
undergoing construction works, as the old building got demolished
after it was found unsuitable to be occupied.
The project, costing $318,295, is
sponsored by the Islamic Religious Council through a fund from tithe
collections, and it is expected to be completed in April 2007. The
visitors yesterday talked with Rumah Bahagia's occupants, who are
temporarily housed somewhere else nearby.

Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Hj Badaruddin and delegates then made a
trip to Rumah Bahagia in Kg Sibut that opened in July 2004. They
surveyed the location, which cost about $154,700 and was also
sponsored by the Islamic Religious Council through a tithe
collections fund.
The delegation had an opportunity
to visit the house of Mohammad Yussof Abdullah @ Dalang Anak Muli in
Kg Lepong Lama, which was built with help from Pusat Dakwah Islamiah,
KHEU.
Following the, trips, the deputy
minister, at the Islamic Dakwah Centre in Temburong, presented
various contributions in the form of electrical generators and
kitchenware to Siti Aida Abdullah Ekin from Kg Sekangan, Sofiah
Abdullah Bunga from Kg Temada, Md Khairul Azman Abdullah Tunol from
Kg Biang Baru, Md Rais Abd Rahman from Kg Semabat, as well as Nur
Sabrina Abdullah Jingga, Junaidi Abdullah Jingga and Md Firdaus
