Canadian Alumni Association Holds Get-Together

Bandar Seri Begawan - The High Commission of Canada recently hosted a gathering for its Canadian Alumni at the Empire Hotel and Country Club.

The event provided opportunities for Canadian graduates living and working in the Sultanate to meet and exchange ideas, as well as share learning experiences and create business-networking platform.

In an address by Mr Leopold Battel, High Commissioner of Canada, he welcomed members and expressed his gratitude in sharing their knowledge of Canada, its universities, industries and contributing in the cooperation between Brunei and Canada.

He also hoped that the event would be the first of many meetings to follow during the year. In addition to reconnecting with the Canadian Alumni of Brunei, it gave him the opportunity to liaise with several members who have also become prominent businessmen or businesswomen.

Members of the Alumni Association and others guests present were also invited to explore possible social and sport activities to be undertaken. by the Canadian club.

A series of events and activities are being planned for Canadian Alumni Association members in the next few months. Former students who have studied in Canada are invited to register as members of the Canadian Alumni, if they have not done so.
