Record Booking Via Abacus At Kuala Belait Mini Travel Fair

Bandar Seri Begawan - There was a record booking for air travel through Abacus during the 2nd Mini Travel Fair jointly organised by Royal Brunei Airlines and Abacus Distribution Systems at the Soon Lee Mega Mart in Kuala Belait from on February 2 and 3.

"Abacus provided the computer reservations systems support to the six participating travel agents, namely Anthony Tours & Travel Agency; Century Travel Centre; Freme Travel Services; Jasra Harrisons & Shipping Agency; Ken Travel & Trading; and Pan Bright Travel Service during the two-day fair, to enable them to make real time reservations," said the general manager for Abacus Brunei, Pg Roslee bin PSR Pg Hj Jaya.

"The participating travel agents got a very positive response from keen travellers, resulting in 95 and 146 per cent increases in bookings being recorded on Friday and Saturday respectively," said Abd Halim bin Hj Abd Rahman, the sales & marketing manager of Abacus Brunei.

"The presence of Russell Reduan Hamid Knox dressed as a Storm Trooper from the (Star Wars) 501st Legion stunned visitors during the fair and provided phototaking opportunities for enthusiastic fans," he added.

A prize presentation for lucky draw winners was held in the evening of February 3, at the close of the Travel Fair. Making the presentation were Abd Halim as well as Evelyn Ang and Yasmin@Jennifer Abdullah Chin from Royal Brunei Airlines. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
