Religious Affairs Minister At New Hijrah Year Forum

Bandar Seri Begawan - To mark the riew hijrah year of 1428, the Ministry of Religious Affairs last Sunday organised a special forum at the Kampong Keriam Mosque in Tutong, focused on a deeper understanding of Quranic verses. The event was attended by the Minister of Religious Affairs; Pehin Dato Seri Utama Dr. Ustaz Hj Awg Mohd Zain bin Hj Serudin.

Also present were Deputy Religious Affairs Minister Pehin Dato Ustaz Hj Awg Badaruddin, and Deputy Permanent Secretary at the Religious Affairs Ministry Data Paduka Awg Hj lshaaq.

The subject matter at the evening programme was the suratul Fatihah. The forum was chaired by the Mosque Affairs Officer of the Tutong District, Awg Hj,Haslam bin Hj Shahbudin.

It will be held in every district in the country.

The next forum will be held on February 11 at the Setia Ali Mosque in Muara Town, after the mass maghrib prayer. It is organised by the Department of Mosque Affairs, Ministry of Religious Allairs. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
