Police Call For Diligence Amid
Hike In Car Break-Ins

Begawan - Seventeen theft cases and two car break-ins were
recorded in the past three days, including two goats and nearly
$30,000 in cash, prompting the police to call on motorists to
develop the habit of locking their cars.
Other goods stolen were three car
rims, two cables, a speaker, a feeder pillar, two welding cables, a
hose, jewelleries, two computers, a sports bag including a wallet
and important documents, a mobile phone, a sliding frame, and $1,240
in cash.
Meanwhile, two cars were broken
into at parking lots in Kiarong and Yayasan, leading to a total loss
of $28,725.47, including a black-and-red Mitsubishi car.
The police also reported three
assaults, a vandalism case, a fraud case, a case of giving out false
information, a case of illegal possession of alcoholic beverages, a
corruption case, three drug abuse cases, a customs case, and two
immigration cases.
As for road accidents, 20 cases
were recorded including four freak accidents and an accident
