Survey Department Upgrades Services

Bandar Seri Begawan - The Survey Department yesterday launched the Geo Detik and coding system at the Geomatic Information Centre, Ministry of Development, in conjunction with its customer day.

On hand to launch the new system was Surveyor General Awang Haji Mohd Jamil bin Haji Mohd Ali.

Also present were senior officials of the Survey Department and the Ministry of Development.

The main, objective of the implementation yesterday was to improve the quality of services offered by the Survey Department, including obtaining a view of Brunei via a French satellite, SPOT Image. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
