Legislative Council Visits RTB

Bandar Seri Begawan - More than 10 members from the Legislative Council (LegCo) led by Dato Paduka Hj Idris bin Hi Abas made a working visit to RTB yesterday morning.

Also accompanying the group was Pg Dato Paduka Hj Ismail, the Permanent Secretary at the Prime Minister's Office.

The visitors were briefed on RTB's mission and vision as well as the milestones that it has achieved over the years by Awg Hj Osman bin Hj Mohammad, the Acting Director of RTB.

Aside from fostering ties between the two organisations, yesterday's visit was to give the group a better understanding of the roles and responsibilities of the national television broadcaster.

Meanwhile, some of the visitors also appeared on the `Rampai Pagi' morning show, which was televised live.

During the tour, the visiting group stepped into the newsroom and took a closer look at the IT Group Technology `Interactive TV' Play Centre. They also visited the Radio Studio where RTB broadcasts five radio channels namely, 'Nasional', 'Pilihan', 'Pelangi', 'Harmoni' and 'Nur Islam'.
