Religious Affairs To Hold Premier Forum

Bandar Seri Begawan - In AN initiative to glorify the New Year Hijrah 1428, the Ministry of Religious Affairs will once again be holding a Premier Forum this Thursday evening, February 8, at the Belalong Hall of the Temburong District Office in Bangar Town.

The theme of the upcoming forum will be "Memperkasa Iltizam Kehidupan Bangsa", which is the theme for major Islamic events for the new Islamic calendar year. The theme is in line with the 'Hijrah' or migration concept itself, which encompasses the efficient, knowledgeable and systematic individual, based on Islamic teachings.

The event is also hoped to realise the government's aspiration of developing people into becoming excellent 'Ummah' and forward-thinking individuals towards upholding the national identity.

The forum will be chaired by Hj Matusin bin OKS Hj Tuba while the panelists will comprise Pg Dato Seri Setia Dr Hj Mohammad, the Deputy Minister of Education, and Dato Paduka Dr Hi Ismail, Vice-Chancellor of Universiti Brunei Darussalam.

The forum will be jointly organised by the Ministry of Religious Affairs, Temburong District Office and Temburong Religious Office and will be telecast live on RTB at 8.45pm on Thursday. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
