Brunei, Malaysia Jointly Issue
Stamps, First Day Covers

Begawan - Philatelists will he able to add to their
collection the Commemorative stamps and first day covers of images
of marine life found in the South China Sea when the Brunei Postal
Services under the Ministry of Communications of Brunei Darussalam
issue stamps jointly with Pos Malaysia on February 6 on Unique
Marine Life.
According to Senior Manager in the
Stamp and Philately Division of Pos Malaysia, Brunei was chosen
because (lie two counties are on the shores or the South China Sea
and the marine life in both countries are similar, 'I he Star
reported.
The stamps come in tour designs,
two by Brunei Postal Services and another two by Pus Malaysia, and
will be in the denominations of 1150.60 and B$1.00.
There are only 160,000 stamps, with
images of Leaf Scorpion fish and Orange striped Triggerlish, and
60.000 1152.00 miniature sheets is its images of the Chambered
Nautilus and Spotted Box fish will be printed.
The official first day covers
without stamps may be obtained from all post offices. For further
information or to make advance order, members of the public
interested can contact the Philatelic Unit at M PC Post Office,
Berakas at 2381 486.
