Thai Air Force Chief Awarded
Honorary Pilot Wing

Begawan - His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of
Brunei Darussalam has consented to award the Royal Brunei Air Force
Honorary Pilot Wing to the Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Thai Air
Force (RTAirF), Air Chief Marshal Chalit Pukbhasuk, in recognition
of his contributions to strengthening the bilateral ties between the
Royal Brunei Air Force (RBAirF) and the Royal Thai Air Force (RTAirF).
The Honorary Pilot Wing was
presented by the Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF),
Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General Dato Paduka Seri Hj Awg Halbi bin
Hj Md Yussof, in a ceremony held at the Rimba Air Force Base,
yesterday morning.
Upon arrival at the Royal Brunei
Air Force Headquarters, Air Chief Marshal Chalit Pukbhasuk received
the general salute and inspected the guard of honour. The RTAirF
Commander-in-Chief then paid a goodwill call on the Commander of
RBAirF, Brigadier General Dato Paduka Hj Mahmud bin Hj Saidin.
Air Chief Marshal Chalit Pukbhasuk
later paid a courtesy call on the Commander of the Royal Brunei
Armed Forces at the Ministry of Defence in Bolkiah Garrison.
Air Chief Marshal Chalit Pukbhasuk
is currently on a three-day official visit to Brunei. He arrived in
the Sultanate on February 1 and is scheduled to depart today. -- Courtesy of Borneo
