Fair To Promote Kuala Belait Too

Bandar Seri Begawan - A Two-Day travel fair in Kuala Belait will offer visitors attractive travel and tour products, promote domestic tourism and at the same time help boost the profile of Belait town.

The Mini Travel Fair, taking place on February 2 and 3 at the Soon Lee Mega Mart, will feature major travel industry players such as the Royal Brunei Airlines, Baiduri Bank, Brunei Tourism Board and six local travel agencies.

The fair is jointly organised by RBA and its subsidiary Abacus Distribution Systems (Brunei) Sdn Bhd, which also organised the first such event last year at the Oil and Gas Discovery Centre.

According to an RBA statement, the fair aims to provide "a platform for travel agents to interact with the general public, to improve upon relations with current customers and to forge relations with the new customers

It also hopes to offer a one top destination for travellers and holiday-makers seeking the most attractive packages to suit their travel plans.

Domestic tourism will also be given a boost, with RBA and the travel agents working together with the Brunei Tourism Board through the board's Kenali Negara Kita (Discover Our Nation) programme.

"This fair will provide a conductive platform for travellers to shop for attractive local packages, said Abd Halim Abd Rahman, Sales and Marketing Manager of Abacus Brunei.

Visitors will get a chance to win prizes, including air tickets to Bali and Saigon, and a holiday package to Surabaya. -- Courtesy of The Brunei Times
