Laos Thanks Brunei For Aid Given

Bandar Seri Begawan - Lao PDR Prime Minister Bousasone thanked His MasjestySultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah, the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, and the Government for the development aid.

In a speech at the Lao premier yesterday, Bouphavanh expressed his gratitude assistance and cooperation in many areas". Such help, he said, has conUributed "significantly to the socio-economic development of Laos and to the further development of the bonds of friendship and enhanced cooperation between Laos and Brunei and within the Asean family".

His Majesty said in a titah, "We greatly appreciate the contribution the Lao people have made both to our own relationship and to Asean."

Earlier, His Majesty also consented to receive an audience for Bouphavanh.

Present at the audience were His Royal Highness Prince Hj AlMuhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister's Office, His Royal Highness Prince Mohamed Bolkiah Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, His Royal Highness Prince Hj Sufri Bolkiah, His Royal' Highness Prince Abdul Malik and Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Masna, Brunei's Ambassador at-Large.-- Courtesy of The Brunei Times
