Close To 100 Booths For Brunei Book Fair

Bandar Seri Begawan - Several leading bookstores from foreign countries will be taking part in the Feb 25-March 6 Brunei Book Fair 2007 at the Indoor Stadium in Berakas.

Among them are Goodwill Book Store, Manila Asean Book Publisher Association (ABPA, Thailand), Grolier International Corporation Singapore, Maktabah Risalah, Aman Jordan, A' Star Interactive Singapore, Majlis Buku Kebangsaan Malaysia (MBKM), Pustaka Nasional Pte Ltd Singapore, Asa Vision Sdn Bhd and Pustaka Wira Sdn Bhd.

Various government agencies and the private sector in the country will also be taking part in the ten-day book fair, which is being organised by the Language and Literature Bureau. Nearly 100 booths will be set up for the fair.

There will also be a number of sideline activities for the public such as computer game competitions, drawing and colouring contests, jawi reading and writing, quizzes, local folks song competitions and talent shows.

There will also be workshops of enhancing reading culture, library management as well as, a storytelling session by the Women Graduate Association.
