Banadar
Seri Begawan - The latest Acer Notebook powered by the new
Intel Centrino Duo Mobile
Technology was unveiled yesterday at
the Empire Hotel and Country Club.
The arrival of the Aspire 5670 series
is reflecting dual-core entertainment and expected to attract a huge
crowd of computer enthusiasts to the Sultanate.
Coming all the way from Malaysia,
Acer's Branch Manager Mr Ngieng Seng Kuok recently briefed local
dealers on the notebook's functions.
It is a fully equipped entertainment
machine that can accomplish many tasks, as well as clearly play DVDs.
The 15.4-inch WSXGA wide-aspect LCD delivers 30 per cent more viewing
area, in addition to brighter, more vivid images for a better
perspective on the business world.
Other features include the Acer
Arcade for users to browse pictures, listen to music from a variety of
sources, watch TV and enjoy DVD movies - all from one convenient
interface.
In addition, another Acer product
that was also recently launched was the Acer LCD TV. The flat screen
comes in two different sizes - 26- and 32-inch.
Mr
Ngieng explained that as people move in their fastpaced lives, they
reward themselves with life's little luxuries. New TVs, home cinema
and digitally connected homes are popular.
He then remarked that the prestigious
LCD TVs were once out of reach.
The ample screen space has a
1366x768-pixel resolution for a cinema-like full-screen viewing
experience without - any loss of details or visual impact.
The LCD TV will also allow
simultaneous viewing of multiple images.
He concluded by saying that the Acer
LCD TV market is expected to experience stronger growth than the
plasma market over the next few years.
This is because LCD is a newer TV
Technology and an anticipated experience with more aggressive
pricedeclines.
These latest ACER products could be
viewed at the Book and ICT Fair 2006 (BICTF) on April 26. The computer
dealers involved will be Concept Computer Supplies, Netcom Computer
and Beseller, among others. For more information, visit the website
