Book And ICT Fair To Be Held In April

Bandar Seri Begawan - The highly-anticipated "Book and ICT Fair 2006" is scheduled to take place in April at the Atrium Hall, The Mall in Gadong.

Jointly organised by Hussyamim Event Management and the Language and Literature Bureau (DBP) of the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sport, the eight-day exhibition will showcase educational, science and technology, children, art, fiction and non-fiction books as well as magazines, latest computers products and accessories.

According to the organiser, the event aims to boost the knowledge of IT users and to increase appreciation of books and IT. The event will also bring together e-learning providers under one roof.

The event will be participated by government departments, book dealers, distributors, publishers, vendors and IT establishments.

The fair aims to promote reading among the public, encourage writing and raise awareness of literary arts. The fair is also expected to promote the growth and development of Information Technology in Brunei Darussalam.

Interesting activities and programmes have been lined for the event. There will also be attractive prizes up for grabs during the fair.
