Bandar Seri Begawan - Muhammad bin Rusli emerged champions in the men singles category of the BNDA Double Darts Open and Single Championship over the weekend.

The three-day meet from Feb 3-5 at the Civil Service Club, Mentiri was organised by the Brunei Darussalam National Darts Association with the support from the Department of Youth and. Sports.

Four categories - double open, youth open, ladies open and men singles (members) - were contested.

In the men single, Muhammad defeated Serabah Hj Abas 4-3 in a closely contested final. Muhammad received a trophy and the Challenge Trophy contributed by the Director of Youth and Sport, Awang Japar bin Bangkol.

The ladies open was won by Dayang Jazmeen binti Ali Mohd Noor after defeating Dayang Mariani binti Embran.

Hj Aznin bin Hj Mohd Noor was the winner in the youth open (U-18) and the runner-up was Hj Zohri bin Hj Abdul Rahman.

The double open was won by KBT SK Veteren (Pg Mohammad and Kamaluddin) followed by KBT SK Veteren Jr (Asat Bidin and Muhammad bin Rusli).

The double open winners received trophies and $400 while the runner-up received trophies and $200.

Prizes were presented by the guest-of-honour Haji Johari bin Haji Awang, Director of Personnel Division, Department of Civil Service.
