Crown Prince Grant Royal Audience

Bandar Seri Begawan - His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister's Office, yesterday consented to receive in audience the newly-appointed High Commissioner of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Major Gen. (rtd) Syed Haider Jawed, and the Republic of Indonesia's Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary 'to Brunei Darussalam, Herijanto Soeprapto.

Her Royal Highness Paduka Seri Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Sarah also consented to receive in audience Pakistan's Major Gen. (rtd) Syed Haider and his wife Madm Fauzia Jawed and Indonesia's Herijanto Soeprapto and his wife Madam Koesmoekamdarimah Herijanto

The audience ceremonies took place at the Istana Nurul Iman. Also present was Pg Dato Paduka Haji Abu Bakar bin Pengiran Seri Indera Pengiran Haji Ismail, Permanent Secretary at the Prime Minister's Office.

Both envoys had presented their letter of credentials to His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam on January 14.  -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
