Colourful Show At Anugerah Awards

Bandar Seri Begawan - Radio Television Brunei (RTB) held its `MalamAnugerah RTB Awards 2004' at the Empire Theatre last Saturday.

The annually held event is organised to give recognition to RTB staff for their hard work and dedication in producing creative, innovative and quality programmes.

Gracing the event as guest of honour was Minister of Communications Pehin Orang KayaAmar Pahlawan Dato Seri Laila Jasa Haji Awang Zakaria bin Datu Mahawangsa Haji Sulaiman.

Also in attendance were Minister of Culture, Youth & Sports Pehin Orang Kaya Digadong Seri Lela Dato Seri Paduka Haji Awang Hussain bin Pehin Orang Kaya Digadong Seri Diraja Dato Laila Utama Haj i Awang Mohd Yusof; Permanent Secretary at the Prime Minister's Office Pehin Orang Kaya Pekerma Laila DiRaja Dato Paduka Awg Hj Hazair bin Hj Abdullah; and RTB Director Pegiran Dato Paduka Haji Ismail bin Pengiran Haji Mohamed.

The highlight of the evening was the presentation of a `Special Category Award' to the former RTB Director, Pengiran Dato Paduka Haji Asmali.

Apart from the spectacular performances staged by local artistes, Malaysian Akademi Fantasia stars also played a role in making the evening a colourful one. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
