YEAR Car Boot Sale Held For Tsunami Fund

Bandar Seri Begawan - The Young Entrepreneur Association Brunei (YEAB) car boot sale proved a success with 23 car lots being bought by those participating in the event which was held yesterday at the Jigsaw School, Berakas.

The fun-filled occasion began as early as 6.30am and attracted many car boot sale enthusiasts who were looking for potential bargains at the sale.

Items ranging from clothing to children's toys, paddling pools, coat hangers and sport rims were for sale at the event which was aimed at raising funds for the National Tsunami Disaster Relief Fund under the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports.

A Charity Raffle which was also organised alongside the car boot sale also drew an encouraging response from the crowd with 200 tickets being sold. The draw took place at the end of the activity.

YEAB members donated prizes for the raffle and winners who were not present at the draw would be notified by telephone.

All proceeds from the sales of raffle tickets and car lots will be handed over to the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports for the tsunami victims. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
