Bandar Seri
Begawan – Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Masna viewed a
Tsunami bazaar yesterday displaying clothing, accessories, and
magazines, as well as electronic goods, food, and traditional Bruneian
woven cloths and then put up her personal items for sale, for a good
cause.

Among the items the Princess donated
included branded items such as shoes, sandals and handbags.
These special items were sold at
a silent auction, where the potential buyers had to fill a form
for their bids.
This was the most popular display
at the event as it was a rare chance for the public to be able to
purchase such items at affordable prices.
Earlier Princess Hajah Masna, in
her capacity as the President of the Brunei Girl Guides
Association launched the annual Brunei Girl Guides Bazaar to mark
World Thinking Day.
The bazaar was held at the Girl
Guides Kampung Anggerek Desa and
was also held to remember the
Asian Tsunami Disaster.
Upon her arrival, the Princess
was greeted with a small choir presentation by the younger girl
guides.
The Princess then officially
launched the bazaar.
The Princess also participated in
an aerobic session together with the other members of the
association. |

The Girl Guides' World Thinking Day
Bazaar is an annual event, which was originally created in 1926 to
show appreciation to other 'sister' girl scouts around the world.
This year's event was held in
remembrance of the Tsunami Victims, in the hope that it will raise
awareness on the issue of hunger, and its devastating effect on the
lives of millions of people around the world. --
