48 Police Officers From Royal Guard Unit Promoted

Bandar Seri Begawan - A total of 48 police officers from the Police Royal Guard Unit have been promoted to various ranks.

The ceremony of presenting letters of appointment was held yesterday morning at the Police Royal Guard Unit Headquarters in Kampong Beribi, Gadong.

The letters of appointment were presented by the chief guest, the Commanding Officer of Police Royal Guard Unit, Senior Supt.Pehin, Orang Kaya Peridikar Alam Hj Hasrin bin Hj Sabtu.

The chief guest earlier inspected a parade by 57 Police Royal Guard personnel. Two Staff Sergeants - 869 Hulubalang Ludin bin Salleh and 1096 Hj Sidek Hj Mohd Noor were promoted to the ranks of Sergeant Major.

Meanwhile, six personnel were promoted to Staff Sergeants, 10 promoted to Sergeants, 27 to Corporal and another three promoted to Lance Corporal.

The Commanding Officer urged all personnel to continuously upgrade their performance and discipline and to continuously carry` out their duties effectively. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
