By Huraizah Ahmad

Bandar Seri Begawan - Students who have just completed their GCE 0 & A Levels attended a one-day Australian Education Network and Student Interview session in Gadong.

The walk-in event on Friday was hosted by Josnani Abdullah from the Australian Trade Commission and Cath Doolan and Dr Smita Winner representing Australian universities.

The event was a community awareness initiative by local Australian Education Representatives (HRD Services and Sindmi MS Education Services) based in Brunei to assist students with university application processes.

The one day 'Study In Australia' interview sessions allowed students to enquire on several Universities and colleges available in Australia specifically, Queensland. Perth, Adelaide. Canberra and the Northern Territory, said Josnani Abdullah.

It is also a lead up to the first education event on March 22-23 organised in Brunei by the Australian government.

The lead Australian agencies in this endeavour are the Australian Trade Commission and Australian Education International.

Students seeking options to study in Australia for the mid-year 2005' and 2006 course information offered by Australian universities are welcome in the forthcoming event to be held at the SEAMEO-VOCTECH building in Gadong. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
