Gary U-21 snooker champion

Gary Hong emerged champion after
beating Fo Yung Hui 5-0 in the final of the National Under-21 Junior
Snooker Tournament on Thursday night at the Hassanal Bolkiah Sports
Complex.
In the fight for third spot, Md Ali
Noradillah defeated Md Amran Shah 3-1 out of the "best of 5 frames".
The competition was organised by the
Brunei Darussalam Snooker and Billiard Association and was an annual
activity for the association where this year saw 21 young participants
giving their best shot.
According to the snooker and billiard
national coach Mohd Hashim Rabin, the objective of the competition is
to find the best players to represent Brunei in future tournaments
organised by the Asian and World Federation, but the main priority is
to prepare selected players for this year's SEA Games in Manila.
Among other upcoming activities by
the Brunei Darussalam Snooker and Billiard Association is the National
Senior Snooker Tournament in March followed by the Junior 9-Ball and
the Senior 9-Ball meets in early April.
