Charity Sale In Belait For Tsunami Victims

Kuala Belait - A charity sale is currently being held at the Kuala Belait's Municipal Hall to raise funds for tsunami-stricken victims.

The Youth Council of Belait District and Belait District Office co-organised in holding the event.

Open daily from 10 am to 10 pm until March 1, there are some 22 vendors selling items from food to clothes to home decors.

The public, particularly Belait residents, are invited to support the event while responding to the government's call for locals to extend helping hands to the victims of the December 26 tsunami disaster, said the organisers.

The rent for each stall is between $50 and $200, and all proceeds will go to the Belait District Tsunami Victims Fund. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
