Royalty At National Day Celebration At Yayasan School

Bandar Seri Begawan - The Nursery and Primary sections of Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah School held a National Day celebration yesterday.

Among the participants were His Majesty's grandchildren.

His Majesty's eldest granddaughter, YAM Pg Anak Raheemah Sanaul Bolkiah bte YAM Pg Maharaja Setia Laila DiRaja Sahibul Irshad Pg Anak Hj Abd Rahim, who is in Primary 3 Yellow, joined other students in singing the National Anthem as the national flag was hoisted.

His Majesty's other grandchildren, YAM Pg Anak Abdul Raqiib bin YAM Pg Maharaja Setia Laila Diraja Sahibul Irshad PgAnak Haji Abdul Rahim from Nursery Pink and YAM Pg Anak Hariisah Widadul Bolqiah bte YAM Pg Maharaja Setia Laila Diraja Sahibul Irshad Pg Anak Haji Abdul Rahim from KG 2 Yellow, were also present.

Present as chief guest was the school's principal, Cikgu Rajah Halimah bte Haji Maidin.

After the National Day Doa was read by Ustaz Hj Abroad, the school's choir group sang a patriotic song followed by the recital of Independence Day poems by students, Husna Nadhirah Mohd Serudin, Izza Aqeel Ridzlan, Nur Amanina Aqilah Abd Rahman and Ahmad Rafluddin Hj Azaman.

The Primary 4, 5 and 6 students also lined up to form the National Day 2005 logo.

The children also paraded around the school's compound as they waved mini flags.
