Women Council Serenade And Dance
To Raise Tsunami Funds

Begawan - More than 100 Women Council (WC) members joined hands
serenading songs, reciting poems and performing dances at the
Berkshire Hall, JPCC in Jerudong recently and collected $3,000 for the
tsunami victims.

Zaleha Hj Kaprawi of WC said the council also collected thousands of
dollars from associations under the umbrella of WC to satisfy their
pledge of $24,000 for the fund.

MohdAli and her deputy Datin Hjh Fatima sang a sponsored song.
In her speech, Datin Hjh Masni said
the event was a charity activity of WC that united volunteers from
associations under its umbrella.
She also expressed the council's
gratitude to sponsors of the charity event.
"The high attendance demonstrated the
growing unity between the associations under the umbrella of WC.
"We want to tell the world that in
times of need, we are together," she said. --
