Brunei-Muara Walkathon This Sunday

Bandar Seri Begawan - Residents of the Brunei-Muara District are invited to take part in an aerobic and walkathon beginning at 7am at the Sports Complex of Sungai Kebun, Mukim Sungai Kebun.

This activity aimed at promoting a healthy lifestyle and fostering closer ties between residents of various mukims.

The Sunday activity will help raise money for the Tsunami Disaster Fund.

It is part of a project jointly organised by the consultative councils of Mukim Sungai Kebun, Mukim Burong Pingai Ayer, Mukim Lumapas, Mukim Tamai and Mukim Saba as well as the Ministry of Home Affairs and departments under it.

The walkathon will be divided into two categories. Male participants will cover a distance of four kilometres while the females will walk for two kilometres.

Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Pehin Dato Paduka Awang Haji Adanan is expected to be the guest of honour for the event. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
