Two Indonesians Jailed For Thieving

Bandar Seri Begawan - Two Indonesian employees of Jessy Trading Company were jailed three months each after both pleaded guilty to stealing from the said company before the Bandar Magistrate's Court yesterday.

Ragil Pribadi, 35, and 32-year-old Sunardi Paniran plotted to steal from their employer by taking 26 boxes of Melamine food containers from the company's warehouse and selling it to a woman for $700, Deputy Public Prosecutor Mohd Esnawi Hj Sharbawi told the court.

The defendants both delivered the goods to the woman at an undisclosed location and received the money, which the defendants had agreed to split between themselves.

Ragil gave $75 to the woman as commission, the court further heard. However, Ragil was confronted by his employer and admitted to stealing the goods.

Ragil and Sunardi were then escorted to, the Muara Police Station and arrested.

The goods were retrieved with the cooperation of the defendants and the money was returned to the owner. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
