Theft Suspects Remanded For Two Weeks

Bandar Seri Begawan - Two locals and a permanent resident were remanded for two weeks at the Central Police Station for further investigation to be conducted on allegations of committing theft of electrical appliances.

Mohd Rodial Iskandar bin Haji Latif, Arif Rumaizi bin Hj Hassan and Hanui bin Gani were charged with stealing one washing machine, two laptops and one DVD player belonging to a man on October 29 last year at house No 11, Simpang 540, Kanipong Beribi.

This is an offence under section 380 of the Penal Code that carries imprisonment for a term, which may extend to 7 years and fine. The case would be heard again on March 10 at 9am. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
