JIS students for SEA Maths contest

Members of the JIS team.
Six students from Jerudong
International School (JIS) yesterday flew to Phuket in Thailand to
participate in the fifth annual Southeast Asia Mathematics Competition
to be held at Dulwich College.
JIS is the only school from Brunei to
send a team, so these students will be the sole representatives of
Brunei.
There are thirty-eight participating
teams from six different countries, namely, Brunei, Hong Kong,
Singapore, China, Malaysia and Thailand.
The students will compete in teams of
three and answer a series of questions in both individual and team
rounds.
The questions are designed to
challenge the students - and often the teachers - in all aspects of
Mathematics.
The winners will be awarded the
coveted Warry Cup.
