Counseling
Sessions On Australian Education At Centrepoint
Bandar Seri
Begawan - Students seeking entry into overseas study
programmes will have the opportunity to meet the locally based
education advisers at the Australian Education Student Counseling
session to be held at The Centrepoint Hotel on Friday, February 25.
Information on studying at colleges
and universities in Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney, Perth, Adelaide and
Darwin will be available at the Counseling Session.
The event is
especially useful to students who have just received their 0 and A
level results and are trying to finalise their further study
options.
Students are advised to bring their latest qualifications
to the Counseling Session to evaluate eligibility criteria and
identify the most appropriate course.
The event is organised by HRD
Services and Sindun Management Services. They have been operating in
Brunei for several years and have full knowledge of a Bruneian
student's requirements.
HRD
Services and Sindun Management Services have been closely vetted by
the universities that they represent and follow strictest ethical
and professional guidelines.
For some universities, the event
organisers have an exclusive agreement, which means that no other
organisation has the authority to promote these universities'
programmes in Brunei - for example the University of Queensland and
the University of New South Wales.
The education representatives are
in tune with the requirements of scholarship awards and the time
frame associated with applications.
They work closely with the student
to identify and evaluate a suitable course and are in regular
contact with the education institutions to ensure that the
application progresses smoothly.
Australian qualifications are well
recognised and respected in Brunei. Australia has a slightly
different education structure from the Brunei education system. It
is important that the student matches his current qualifications
with the required entry points into Australian colleges such that
there is no loss in value.
Applications for the Ministry of
Education Scholarships will be closed on February 28. Australia has
an intake of students in July and students would need to apply now
to gain a place.
The student interview and
counseling session will be held at the Business Centre, Lobby
Level, Centrepoint Hotel between 9am and 12 noon.
Further information can be obtained
from HRD Services (tel. 2650800) or Sindun Services (tel. 2330600).
