National Day Colouring Contest At Pusat Ehsan

Bandar Seri Begawan - Over 400 students were invited from schools all across the Brunei-Muara district to participate in the annual drawing and colouring competition yesterday.

The Pusat Ehsan in Kg Bengkurong organized the event.

The colouring contest, which was held in conjunction with the National Day celebration, was attended by member of the Board of Trustees of Pusat Ehsan, Mr Tony Tan.

Pg Hj Tajuddin, the centre's manager, welcomed him.

Forty special children from Pusat Ehsan, Pusat Bahagia and the Special Education Unit also took part in the event.

The event aimed to create a sense of togetherness amongst the children and to raise awareness about Pusat Ehsan and the activities and programmes carried out there to aid children with special needs. It also hoped to raise awareness on the disabilities affecting children.

he event was sponsored by Primatel Communications, Friends of Pusat Ehsan (Women Unit), Malar Setia Sdn Bhd, Sunlit Advertising Sdn Bhd and Pg Datin Hjh Noraini.

All participants received certificates of participation and goodie bags. There was also a lucky draw and a mini exhibition on the programmes available at the centre. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
