Photographers Invited To Join Faces Of Brunei 2005

Bandar Seri Begawan - Organisers of Faces of Brunei 2005 photography competition have reminded prospective participants that the closing date for the search of excellence in photography will be on March 28.

The competition is organised and managed by Rakan Tiga and Crisnobel and is open to all residents of Brunei.

Contestants are allowed to submit as many entries as he or she likes. However, they must be unpublished, original photographs and should not have won in previous competitions. Participants can enter one or both categories in film and digital.

The photographs must depict a typical day in the life of a family, friends and group of people or community at leisure or at work in this country.

For the film category, the photos must be captured in full colour on Konica film as well as being printed on Konica photographic paper.

As for the digital category, photographers can use any digital camera as long as the entries are printed on Konica photographic paper.

In addition, they also need to submit original file of JPEG images in a CD or floppy disk together with the colour prints.

Digital manipulations and creative renditions using computers are not allowed. The best entry in the film category will win $350, second place $200 and third place $150.

All three winners will also win Konica digital cameras. In addition, there will also be seven consolation prizes of 10 rolls of Konica ASA200 135136 films to be given out.

The best entry in the digital category will win a Konica Digital Camera. All prizes are sponsored by Konica Minolta.
