Clash Of RBAF Golf Champions

Bandar Seri Begawan - The RBAF Golf Club yesterday held its Golf Clash of the Champions tournament to vie for the trophy donated by the Deputy Defence Minister, Pengiran Sanggamara Diraja Maj-Gen (rtd) Pg Hj Ibnu Baasith.

55 golfers took part in the competition, which was also graced by the former RBAF

Commander Pehin OKSD Maj-Gen (rtd) Dato Hj Mohammad; Maj-Gen (rtd) Pg Dato Hj Abidin; Pehin DIS Brig-Gen Dato Hj Mohd Yussof; and Pehin OKSP Col Dato Hj Abd Rahmani.

The tournament was divided into Nett VIP, Gross VIP and Novelty categories.

W02 (rtd) Codling walked away with the challenge trophy after he won the Overall Nett title, pushing WO I Murni into the runner-up spot and Major KK Ale into third. WO1 (rtd) Pg Hj Tajuddin won in Overall Gross, followed by Capt (rtd) Hj Ramlie and Sgt Pg Suhaimi in second and third spots respectively.

Maj-Gen (rtd) Pg Dato Abidin won the Gross VIP title, beating Col (N) Hj Johari into second and Pehin DIS BrigGen Dato Hj Mohd Yussof into third.

The Nett VIP category was won by Lt-Col Johar bin Sahari, with Pehin OKSD Maj-Gen Dato Hj Mohammad finishing second and the Deputy Defence Minister himself, Pengiran Sanggamara Diraja Maj-Gen (rtd) Pg Hj Ibnu Baasith, in third place. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
