Bakanita Celebrates Islamic New Year

Bandar Seri Begawan - Bakanita or Women Welfare Association, at the National Housing of Lambak Kanan, yesterday organised a religious event on the theme "Hijrah brings blessing".

It was held to celebrate the new Islamic Calendar Hijrah 1426 at Simpang 107, Jalan 11, Lambak Kanan National Housing.

Dayang Hajah Alijah bte Awang Haji Ali, chairperson, highlighted that Prophet Muhammad s.a.w. made the journey of Hijrah, to teach valuable lessons to Muslims. Hence, they will always remember the significance of the Hijrah.

The guest speaker, Ustaz Dr Andas Ismuhadi bin Haji Abdullah from the Dakwah Islamiah Centre, said the Hijrah celebration is also to strengthen our faith on Allah the Almighty.
