Local Man Walks Free But Accomplices Remanded

Bandar Seri Begawan - A 47-year-old local, Armi bin Hj Serbini, who faced two charges of theft walked free yesterday after posting $1,000 bail or one local surety while two other accomplices facing a single joint charge were remanded at Bandar Central Police Station.

According to DPP Mohammad Esnawi, Armi was charged for stealing two aluminium road safety railings from Jalan Muara on February 13.

The prosecution further told the court that Armi together with permanent resident Ibrahim bin Bakar and Malaysian Mohamad bin Hj Ibrahim were facing a joint charge of having stolen 14 sheets of aluminium from G-Transport Rimba on February 12.
