National Day Exhibition At The Mall Today

Bandar Seri Begawan - To commemorate the upcoming 21st National Day of Brunei Darussalam, a National Day exhibition will be held at The Mall, Gadong today.

About 30 booths, comprising local and overseas companies, have been set up.

The exhibition, which will run until February 27, is open from 10am to 10pm daily and is open to the public.

During the exhibition, there will also be various side events such as stage performances, campaigns on Road Safety and Health and a Teh Tarik competition sponsored by F&N.

According to Pehin Dato Hj Abd Hafz, the chairman of the exhibition's sponsor committee, the exhibition would be declared open by Minister of Culture, Youth & Sports Pehin Dato Dr Hj Awg Hussein.

The committee held a briefing Friday afternoon at the Centrepoint Hotel in Gadong to discuss various issues pertaining to the exhibition and other activities to be held at The Mall.

The sponsor committee chairman regards the exhibition as an opportunity to promote local and overseas products as well as to encourage trade between local firms and their foreign counterparts.

Prior to the launching of the exhibition at 8am today, miniature flags would be distributed to the public at the venue. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
