Ten Top Chess Players For Super League

Bandar Seri Begawan - Ten top players will qualify for Bandar Seri Begawan round robin Super league.

The 11th place and the rest of the players will play for 7 rounds league.

The second round of the league was held last night where about 50 players competed in which most of the participants comprised of players aged under 12, 14 and 16.

The league, which has begun since January, is expected to end on the 29th of next April.

The Brunei Chess Federation organised the ongoing tournament to train and expose the young ones continuously through league matches.

The nine-round league is competed in individual tournament and open to all players.

The time control for the game is 45 minutes plus 15 seconds a move. Recording is mandatory.

Tournament fee is $15 dollars per adult and five dollars per student player.

Winners of the league will receive cash prize and trophies for top three, cash prize for top eight and trophies and cash for the top two under 16, 14 and 12 and lady.
