Their Royal Highnesses At Annual Dinner And Award Night

Bandar Seri Begawan - His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Deputy Sultan, and Her Royal Highness Paduka Seri Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Sarah last night attended the DPMM FC Annual Dinner and Award Night.

Their Royal Highnesses were welcomed on arrival at the Empire Theatre of the Empire Hotel and Country Club, Jerudong, by Pengiran Anak Ají Abdul Rahim, the Vice Chairman of the DPMM FC, and other members of the Club.

Also present was His Royal Highness Prince Abdul Malik.

The climax of the function was the presentation of the DPMM FC's Annual Awards during which His Royal Highness presented awards to four players in recognition of their contributions and outstanding performances.

Oluseye Ajai was picked for the 'Golden Boot 2004' Award.

Meanwhile, Rosmin bin Haji Kamis was selected as the 'Best Player 2004' awardee.

The 'Best Young Player 2004' Award went to Mohamad Shahrin bin Zaini, and the 'Most Consistent Player 2004' award to Awangku Shahrudin bin Pengiran Haji Tajudin.

The Crown Prince also presented the DPMM FC's donation of $3,000 for the Tsunami Disaster Relief Fund to Pehin Dato Paduka Doctor Haji Awang Hussein, the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports and the Fund's Co-Advisor.

His Royal Highness also received donations from various companies totalling $27,000 for the fund, which were then handed over to the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports.

Before departure, the Crown Prince and Her Royal Highness Paduka Seri Pengiran Anak Isteri mingled with those present as well as the DPMM FC Club members and received greetings from them. -- Courtesy of Radio Television Brunei
