Chinese PR Fined $1,500 Over Booze Smuggling

Bandar Seri Begawan - A permanent resident, Lim Cheng Hong, was fined $1,500 funder the Custom Act yesterday for smuggling alcoholic drinks by boat to Brunei.

Lim Cheng Hong, 48, was found guilty by the Bandar Seri Begawan Magistrate's Court for bringing in 96 tins of alcoholic drinks by boat from Limbang without permit.

He was arrested by the Muara Marine Police last Wednesday.
