PERTIWI Marks New Hijrah, Welcomes Returning Pilgrims

Bandar Seri Begawan - A celebration to observe Maal Hijrah 1426 was held yesterday by the PERTIWI association at the Ministry of Communications building.

A celebration to welcome PERTIWI members who had just completed the haj was held simultaneously.

Present as chief guest was Datin Paduka Hjh Zaharah, Adviser I of the association.

Members from all the four districts attended the gathering, which aimed to foster closer relations among members.

An invited speaker from the Islamic Dakwah Centre, Ustaz Dr. Hj Ismuhadi, delivered a talk.

Dyg Hjh Ramlah bte Hj Abd Ghani, chairperson of the ceremony, in her speech said, "In this era of Information Technology, women should not be left behind and must equip themselves with IT knowledge.
